Calendar says 'Yes' to equality

25 January 2010

Look out for Race Equality First’s Schools Against Racism 2010 Calendar & Posters which have been sent out far and wide.  Featuring winning pictures painted by children from Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan schools for our annual arts competition, the calendar and posters help us promote race equality in a positive and fun way.

The theme for this year’s competition was “Yes to Equality” and it was a difficult task for our Judging Panel to select the 15 winning pictures from the almost 1,000 entries that were sent to us.  The winning children and schools were presented with prizes and certificates by the Lord Mayor of Cardiff and the Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan at two special events in December.

Race Equality First would like to congratulate the winners and thank all the schools that entered the competition.  We would also like to thank Julian Hodge Bank Ltd for sponsoring the competition and also Cardiff and Vale local authorities.

Copies of the Calendar and Posters are available in our download section.
